Product has started an adult division. Does anyone on here have any experience with them as adults? My son is with them for the children's division but I'm sure it is very different.

Barbara Stein runs it. She's lovely. Haven't booked anything through them yet.

Not that I know of. They did post on NYCastings.com recently that they're looking for new faces.

I'm too lazy. It's a lot of work- printing, stapling, writing a cover letter, putting it into an envelope, stamping, addressing, stopping by the post office since the mailbox's too small... It's no wonder that a third of this country's population is obese.

Okay, you've inspired me. There's a Boston agent I haven't submitted to... no website.

Actually, I just met with Product a few days ago. I had submitted online because I thought I would be working with their kids/teen division. But since I am 18 but can pass as much younger, they told me they can send me out through both divisions. I haven't had the chance to meet with Barbara yet, but Tiffany and Amanda are wonderful people. Their children's division has been quite successful so I can only think of good things waiting to happen with the adults division. Once things pick up, I'll update you with my experiences. Good luck!

If you want to do print as an adult just send your headshot to Barbara Stein.

I work with her and she sends me out.

How often are you sent out? Are gosees usually in the afternoon? Im trying to decide if this will fit into my schedule before I even waste time mailing in photos. What is pay like for adults in commercial print?

Like everything in this business, nothing's predictable. Coming from my commercial print standpoint: Editorial (pics accompanying articles- donut eaters, not fashion) starts at around $150 for however long the shoot lasts. $1500 is a popular number- I think it may be based on a $150/hour rate for a ten-hour shoot. Hair color boxes $10000 (at least the one I attended paid that much. Would've been nice to book that one.). Numbers vary based on usage, exclusivity, and other stuff I'm not aware of. Robert Kim, care to correct and elaborate?

How often you're sent out is under no one's control. There are days when I've had five castings in a day, and there are times, like now, where I've been sent out once in the last two weeks. Different clients have different demands for their ads and may specify a specific gender, look, and age range, so a CD may cast for a single hour. Or you might have a cattle because they want all types and they'll cast from 9-6 for two days.

A lot of people do have jobs and will attend during their lunch hours if available.

My thoughts- go ahead and submit. It won't hurt.

CSilvera- I'm half-way there. The h/r/cover letters are printed, and I need manila envelopes before I drop them in the mail.
