I have done the agent seminars, worked in a ton on low-budget indies, but I still haven't been able to land an agent. How do I take my career to the next level with paying, legit jobs without an agent? How do I find (and get seen) for legit auditions?
Well you might want to start developing strong relationships with casting directors. Actors connection, The Network to name a few. If you have done the agent seminars as you've mention. I would suggest sign on with a few CD's. If you have a reel put it out there, that's a good way to get your work seen. Try an get involve with more showcases if you haven't already. Most cd's like to go to see actors in showcases. That's a good way to get considered for legit paying tv and movie roles. Hope that helps !

I agree with the above post. Casting directors - and their associates/assistants - should be your next line of attack. If they like you, they can bring you in for smaller parts that will help you build up your resume which in turn will attract representation.
And don't feel bad about your lack of progress. Every single working actor out there was in the same position at some point. It all comes down to a little bit of talent and a little bit of business sense and a whole lot of luck.
Candy, Find out how to format your resume correctly - there are many links on both this site and backstage.com. Your resume is unprofessional - despite all of your professional experience.
Also, it takes 2 clicks to get to your resume - listed under "acting credentials" - that's too many.
Bonnie Gillespie has written several columns on what CD's and agents want to see in a website - really great advice.
I'd also drop the intro. I would exit before your name even became clear.
You have a GREAT look - a more professional presentation would really help. Good luck!
