Are these two related to John Robert Powers? I saw the various dissatisfied postings about John Robert Powers.

Got a call from someone identifying themselves with Sean Powers but when I looked up the number, it lists the number for Rita Powers. Assuming they're family and work in the same business, are they legit and do they pay on a timely basis?

Not sure ! The way this business is now-a-days I wouldn't be surprise. lol ! Everybody is related to somebody.

God, that name makes me CRINGE. In the world of acting, having the last name of Powers is like having the last name of Hitler. Even if they're not related, they should change it right away.

Strangely Ross Reports sometimes has listed Rita or Sean as managers and at other times casting directors.

I believe that they are husband and wife living in Staten Island but using Greenwich Village business addresess.

You could do a search of NYS Corporate fillings

Has anyone gotten regular work from Rita? How is she to work with? What is her reputation?

discussions of the past indicated that she went bankrupt and lots of actors lost out on wages due them..

but be careful with anybody anyways...

From what I gather, Rita is still in business -- you can find her on IMDB. What I'm curious about is who has worked with her. So far I'm not hearing anything about that from those who have direct experience with her.

I have a friend who has booked several non union commercials through her. I believe she is an agent but also does work in casting from time to time, especially in bollywood type stuff. Thats my understanding anyway.

How did you "work for" them?
Were they hiring as a casting directors?
Were they acting as contractors?
Were they acting as agents?

Maybe you should call the production company!

They are SHADY! notorious for not paying the talent. don't expect to get paid. call production.
