I'm assuming that this can be applicable to both NYC and LA.
Lets say I just moved into town, I've got a place to live, and I've got a job, what sort things should I be doing now to get my career going?
I always see posts about, "how do I get an agent" etc, but I really want to know what each one of you would do if you had just set up shop and were ready to get going in this business.
Thanks

Next week's issue (7-17) of Back Stage is about moving to LA. My column is about all the things you should do BEFORE you start looking for an agent. All the basic ideas should apply to New York too.
