I'm a trained actress, but I'm still learning more about who's who and how the business works. I searched for this topic and couldn't find it anywhere. How likely is it that an agent or manager will take non-union? Are there any specific ones you know of that do? I've been looking at Henderson's and can't find this information either.

Hi, there- good question! Agents are usually willing to take on non-union talent if they think the talent will make them money. There is a lot of non-union work available (particularly in commercials) so agents definitely have a reason to bring on non-union talent. But the important thing to remember is that agents are not there to develop the careers of new actors- they want actors who already know what they are doing so they can start making money right away. But if you have a look they need, or have that spark of raw talent, an agent would be very likely to scoop that talent up.

I hope this helps- good luck!
