I like my headshot but have received some feedback from CDs/agents that the leaning-on-the-hand makes it look a little cheesy. I am thinking of switching to a different headshot.

I have asked friends for their opinions, but would really love to have someone at your level weigh in.

Current shot:

Shot I am thinking of switching to (has not been photoshopped yet):

I'd go with the 2nd one.

There must be others from the first series minus the hand right? The first one is such a better pic than the second one but you have learned a valuable lesson it's a HEADshot not a head and hand or head and knee shot. Good Luck!

You can't use the first one.

Second one is decent.

I think the first one is a decent commercial shot and I like it. The second one isn't very flattering.

I think the first shot is a GREAT commercial headshot. Its the second one that is cheesy, IMO. I got an idea, why not ask matthew barry in the working actor thread under "ask a cd a question" Ask him which one he would be more inclined to bring you in on?

I agree with you about the hand thing being a little cheesy, however you look better in the first shot because your smile doesn't look as forced.

Totally agree - the first one is a much better shot of you, but the hand does make it a little cheesy.
