I currently work both in the US and the UK. I just had new headshots taken in NYC, obviously in color. I was going to get some b&ws printed for the UK, but really prefer them in color.

If someone had sent you a color headshot when b&ws were still 'in' would you have dismissed the picture? I feel I should use the picture that best represents me, even if it doesn't tick all the required boxes.

Any help would be great.

You have to stick with the industry standard. I'm not sure what that is in London but if it's black and white, then you should use black and white while you're there. But this is really a question you should ask someone on that side of the pond.
