I met with them today, and I totally think it's a scam. What happened was that they asked me to go in for an "interview" and I met Jerry Pace, and he just asked a bunch of questions about what my favorite subject in school was, and blah. He seemed bored, but did mention that he used to teach History. When you first go to the agency, they give you this monologue to memorize. After you do, you go in to perform it for a lady that I'm guessing is Melissa Cohen. She said her name was Lisa though. She stopped me in the middle and asked me where I take acting classes. i told her Im not taking classes right now, and she started talking about taking classes at Dedicated. Apparently, it's 50 dollars a lesson, and they're on Saturday's at ten a.m. I asked her if after the classes I had to audition again, and she said that once you start classes, you're part of the agency. Hmm... I smell a rat. Also, I told her that I could take classes at Citrus College, and she was all like it won't be professional. Basically she just kept on saying that they're classes are really good. She said that you can stop taking classes once you book your first commercial. Thats a lot of money down the drain. (say it takes a year for you to book a commercial, and if you go to classes every week, it'll be around 2500 not including the headshots that they'll probably make you take at a specific photographer). Anyways, just stay away from this agency. Apparently the monologue that you perform for them in the audition, is the same as the monologue you have to perform in the first day of classes. If you want to know what the monologue is or other details on the audition, email me at liz22463@gmail.com

This is interesting.. I signed with Jerry Pace 4 months ago-he didn't ask me for any monologue, etc(but I've gotten some recognizable work) however, I DID see a bunch of people outside the office, working on a monologue they'd been given, outside jerry's office when I went in for our first meeting. If what you say is true about the classes, etc.. then I need to drop him...agents who engage in this stuff don't get their envelopes opened by the good CD's generally. Also, regarding photographers..they pitched one photographer to me heavily(although they did give me a list) and I went to him..I actually got great headshots..but, I found out later that this same guy fucked over a friend of mine on her headshots big-time, and he's the same guy MZA pitches as well. Something ain't right
