I am an actor out of Philadelphia, of course can only get so much work here, but I am looking to get New York representation. Being that there are 100's of agents, I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction for agents that take on new talent. To give you a little insight, I have 3 national commercials, 4 low-budget indies and featured roles on tv shows to my name. Any help would be much appreciated!!

I havent, I know they are listed in there, but do they break down what kind of talent they represent, like what level of talent?

Let me also suggest the Ross Reports.

AND also- pls. keep in mind that agents are going to be reticent to take on any new clients during a major strike...

They represent clients who they believe will make them MONEY. I don't think there's a formula or prerequisite (maybe there is when deciding who to call in from mail submissions, but how often does that happen as opposed to calling someone in after seeing them work?). I'm guessing there's a lot of instinct involved. But think about it- how do you explain that both Jack Nicholson and Pam Anderson (or whatever her name is today) picked up representation at one point in their lives?

I'm snarky.
