Do you encourage your clients to do drop-offs of their headshots at CD offices around town?
When your clients drop off a lot of their headshots at the various CD offices, do you see a general INCREASE in the number of auditions they are called in for?
Thanks!

My clients don't need to do drop offs because they have me. We have an established agency and that kind of behavior would not be suitable for anyone on my list.
If you're an unrepresented actor, it's fine to do casting drop offs. Just walk in, smile, drop off your material, and get out. These people don't have enough free time to tell you what they're currently casting.
Actually, no - established agencies do not advise their clients to do drops off at casting offices. If anything, we highly discourage it. I have to imagine that you're talking about smaller companies that don't have the clout to get the job done.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. Starter agencies are in a tough position. So I understand why they would encourage it. But personally, I would be embarrassed if I had to ask a client to do my job for me.
Many actors don't have the luxury of being with an A- or even B-list agency... so it's probably a way for them to be more pro-active. Rather than relying on the CLOUT of their particular agency alone.
