Hi Secret Agent Man!

Thanks for your reply on my last post. One more agent/manager question. I see on imdbpro that Catalyst Talent and Cutler Management are both run by "Cutler" Family Pat runs the Management side and Steven the Talent side -- do you know anything about these two?

Yeah, Steven runs Catalyst and his wife runs Cutler Mgmt-they share some, but not all clients. I interviewed with Steven one time, though I didn't get signed. His client list is decent as he seems to get people out for co-star stuff at least.

As far as being repped by both-25% of your income seems to be a lot to give a husband-wife duo.

I was with both of them- and could not leave fast enough. While Steven is extremely sweet, he was not a good agent. Pat was a NIGHTMARE of a manager, spewing out negativity at every chance she had (as well as giving cliched, outdated advice.) I was booking jobs before signing with her, and in the year and a half with her got nothin'. The week after I left her, landed roles IMMEDIATELY AND signed with a fantastic manager. One of my casting director friends hinted it was because Pat was not very pleasant to deal with.

She reps 2 "stars"-and I use that term loosely- but she will spend all of her time and energy on them while giving you advice that will actually harm your career rather than help it. It's exciting to have 2 people rather than none helping out your career, but in my experience I did well before them and even better after.
