Hi! Just wondering if anybody has any information on ADVANCE LA talent agency or Vance Peyton. My son has an offer to be signed and represented by them, but I would like any information some of you out there may know about them.

As long as they do not ask you for money, or to take an "Advance" acting class. They are known for that. Although, Vance is a nice guy.

I met with Advance L.A. last week-they're now an agency, no longer "managers"..I won't call them a scam, but, they aren't members of ATA, no affiliation with SAG, he "signed" me on the spot(and all I had was my theatrical headshot)..they're working out of a small office on santa monica and fairfax now..I intially was willing to try them, but I changed my mind...a woman at SAG's agency dept. said she's gotten a lot of calls about them, but had no info other than not having any relationship(franchise, etc) of any kind. Same with ATA, I called them too.

Thank you, that's what I thought. Thought paying $2100 for the classes before papers were signed was outrageous! Always told if they want to sign you, you are not required to pay any money up front... I the payment went directly for their classes through JRP.

Vance Peyton is a very honest and stand up guy. the fees you are talking about were to john robert powers. Vance nor Advance La take up front fees. all actors know you must be prepared and be training at all times.

I was told by JRP that Vance got the money and my receit for 2,100 says to Advance LA. Vance wil not be getting a licence renewed. he is scamming people all over the states except CA. where it is illagal to charge for what he charges people in other states. Call the CA state labor enforcement and get the REAL deal on him.

I think you have the wrong information. Advance La has many actors working on tv. fim and commercials. I worked for him and he has always given qualified actors great representation. Advance LA has made dreams come true. what schools do in there cities is there doing not Vance's. you should do more research before posting negative and completly wrong info.

I just had the staff at Secret Agent Man headquarters look into this for you. The word is - WALK AWAY!

Agents don't offer classes. That's absurd. And we sure as hell don't ask for money upfront.
