Based on the six pages here, Doug B. is certainly not well received here. The ones that give concrete examples of what they have dealt with negatively with him far outweigh the generic glowing reviews that states no specifics just vagueness.
I never met the man, I'm not in L.A. But going by these posts here, it's overwhelming not in the man's favor.

This is absolutely hilarious on Doug Bennett. I just read all these messages and he said exactly the same stuff to me, so I wont repeat it. Then there are these posts defending him. Look Doug, we know it's you. HAHAHA. Anyone who has met him knows his complete vocabulary.( CAA, ICM, William Morris, SAG Card, Julia Roberts, Johnny Depp, struggling actor,(struggling agent?), and every curse word known to mankind. How about his famous line? "You are not Tom Cruise, but this isn't UTA either." I'm glad he told me it wasn't UTA because he could have fooled me with that beautiful office of his that looks like an abondoned building, along with the tricycle and toys in his office. This guy thinks he's a player? He's being played by his own imagination to be Ari Gold.
I actually seriously enjoyed my meeting with Doug. I laughed the whole time. Hysterical! It was better that SNL. I mean,(those who have met him) can you actually believe this guy acts the way he does out of that office and expects people to believe his bs? How about that skeleton in his waiting room that has the sign "waiting for my next audition?" I wonder if that thing has a SAG card. I bet it works more than any actor he "represents."
Seriously, forget talking about Doug as a an "agent." This man is by far the most pathetic, sorry excuse for a human being I have ever seen in my entire life. But if you want a good laugh, drop by his office. You can get an interview no problem, simply submit a picture and you are in. Then insted of you doing your monologue, he does his. It's a comedy about a Hollywood player and the big five agencies. Enjoy! Haha.

Well I also have experience working with Doug, and so far he's been great. I can't believe all of you are bitching about having to take new head shots, so ridiculous. For one why would you get head shots with out talking to your agent or potential agent first. It sounds like a lot of you fucked up and are trying to blame some one. You have to have head shots that your agent can sale. So if you took head shots, with out consulting your agent, and now he cant use them that is on you.

Wow, I can so tell the actors who aren't getting any work. I think I remeber some one talking trash on his office, and some one else bitching about having to wait. Well I am a client of his and I have been to many casting offices, and agent office, and let me tell you they all look like that and the ones who dont, well thats because they have a huge star like brad pitt. Plus most of you dont even understand how nice he is industry wise, he looks at everyone sag or not, and let me tell you 90% of the agencies out there dont do it, I knnow I learned the hard way. It sucks that he turned all of you down or what ever other reason you hate him, that just means move on try a little harder and push forward, not dwell on one failure, and spend all your time talking trash..Cough *johnny depp* You wanna know why there are way more bad post than good post, its cause everyone who has sonme thing good to say about him are working actors and dont have time to sit around slinging dirt all day.

It's amazing to me that Doug is still creating fake accounts here to post positive things about himself. The only positive encounters with Doug are newbies who are posting for the first time. Doug, stop with the posts; it's pathetic.

So, this may be answered in a different area, but if this Doug character should be avoided like the plague, which agencies do work well with people just starting in the business? I don't plan on looking for an agent quite yet. I'd like to work on my credits and training first, but just for an idea when I do start looking.

Ok so here is my question. How many of you that constantly complain about Doug are actually signed to an agency? Don't you have something better to do...like FIND an agent than sitting around on your computer complaining about what you can't get? I mean, really. I have been signed with Doug for months now, and he has been a wonderful agent. He has his own way of doing things, and obviously, it is working. Have you ever heard ANY complaints about Doug from SAG? Of course not. Doug is a picky agent, and he only will represent people that are determined and have a lot to offer. And none of you sound like anybody he'd represent anyways. Only highly motivated people that don't sit around all day and complain on the internet. Really? Go get a job.

Ah, so it is okay to sit on the internet all day defending losers. I see how it is. Why don't YOU get a job. Oh, I'm sorry. I mean Hi Doug- things slow lately???????

This was AWESOME!!!!! I'll be the first to admit that I have nothing better to do than read 6 pages of crap on a guy. So what? You better bring more than that to the table if you want to say I'm not an actor. I love it when scum bags get called out like this. 30 people of different back grounds all with the same first hand account of this guy, half the people defending him sound just like the stories of what he says to people in interviews, and there are still people willing to meet him. Thats what makes me sick about "actors" especially new and untrained ones; they're so pathetic and desperate. If they weren't people like this "agent" would just go away. Wise up.

Excuse me, but I believe the correct spelling is 'know nothing'. Maybe you need remedial English, Doug?
Doug Bennett is scum. The story I was told by a former client of his is that she would have to pick him up by car from a location of his choosing and then drive him to her apartment for meetings. He would also monitor her weight by making her put on a bikini for him every few weeks.
