Hmmm....Michigan huh? Well, in those markets, you normally have to look at the colleges/universities or see if there's some kind of community theatre. See if there's a film commission that maybe has resources that you can check to see if there's a school in your area. You may have better luck if you're near a larger metro area like Detriot but in the meantime, I'd suggest starting with the schools. Eventually, if you really want to pursue acting as a career, you'll need to move to one of the larger markets.
************************ I want Boscoe's trust fund too.

Well, there is Interlochen Arts Academy/Camp, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, if You're still in high school there is CAPA or Detroit School of the Arts. If you're in college, Western Michigan University has a REALLY good theatre/voice/musical theatre program.

THERE HAS BEEN A RECENT LAW PASSED IN MICHIGAN THAT WILL GIVE A HUGE TAX BREAK TO FILM PRODUCERS WHO SHOOT THEIR FILMS IN MICHIGAN!!!
As someone from Michigan, I can testify, that you can get steady work there. And you do not have to move to a larger market off the bat. You can build your credits there, and with this new legislation, the film work may be increasing.
Moreover, the larger markets, like New York, are over-saturated. You can benefit from being a big fish in a small pond. That's how I landed three union jobs!
