I didn't do the MXAT Summer School. But, did a bunch of workshops and intensives at MXAT, with the same teachers from the summer program, a few years back when I was in college. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! I am still looking for teachers here in NY who are as skilled and knowledgable as those I worked with at MXAT. Not to mention, nobody in the states can teach Stanislavsky quite the same as you would learn it at MXAT which continues to truly honor, nurture and develop the system in a way that's true to Stanizalvsky's core principles.
In making your decision, though, it's important to remember that the classes are only in the single method as developed by Stanislavski. Of course there have been modern developments that are integrated into the classes. But, for the most part it is firmly based in Stanislavsky. It's a system that works great for me, but doesn't work for everyone.
