Can I get some Feed Back on the Actor's Boot Camp? Is it worth it? Have you been there? What do you think about it? This is the Camp in Los Angeles.

I think the proper name of it may be "The Actors Corp", since the web address is actorscorp.com. I'd like to start with them this September.

Do you know that name?
Do you think that making the wrong decision when chosing a place or person for your Acting training can cripple your career?

I know nothing about them either, but as I like to point out, whether or not they're well known doesn't mean anything. This could be a new program.

Find out how long they've been around. If they've been around a long time, ask to speak with former students, students who are working right now. If they're new - how did they come together? What is the background and training of the people who are training you? Does this program meet your needs as far as where you want to go in your career? Is they're philosophy of the "work" appeal to you? If you're starting in September, I'm guessing you've already asked those questions.

I don't think training the wrong person or place can "cripple" your career. You are going to come across so many people that you will learn from, things that you should do, just as much as things you shouldn't be doing. Training as far as I'm concerned is a lifelong process, training is just another word for learning. I'm still learning. I learn when I act, I learn when I coach other actors, I learn in rehearsal, I learn when I'm working with other actors, I learn when I'm watching other actors work.

Let us know where you land.

I replied to a similiar post in another thread about this.

I will be attending The Acting Corps June 2, and chose the school after going to many, many audits and tons of research. The thing that got me was the intensive 5 day a week schedule with 90 minutes on your feet everyday. Applying the skills you learn immediately.

I will hopefully post a thorough review of the BC after it's over in July.
