Hey Guys!
Anybody have any suggestion on 1960's style up-tempos. I'm going in for Hairspray and need something in this style. I don't want to do a number from the show, since it doesn't specify. There's Bye Bye Birdie...what else is 1960's??? Anything that someone knows that's not supper popular would be great.

Motown! "My Guy" (Mary Wells), "Dancin' in the Streets," (Martha and the Vandellas), Various songs by The Temptations, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, etc. etc.

although those songs are not musical theater, I think they might work well for you, since Hairspray is sort of pop-oriented anyway.
