I've actually worked a networking party at this bar I worked at for like a week, but it wasn't for actors. I was wondering if anyone knows if they do exist for actors? I would totally throw one myself but I don't know anyone hence why I want to know if there are ones. I really think it is a good idea, it gives actors the chance to meet other actors and it be really better idea if could get casting directors and agents to go.

SAG is having one in June. It is the 75th SAG Anniversary party.

This person is obviously new and very unlikely a SAG member. I doubt a SAG 75th anniversary party is open to just anyone who wants to attend.

You must be a member of SAG to gain admittance.

Yes, in actuality, you must be a paid up SAG member to RSVP.

We are both going.

Whether or not a SAG member can bring a guest I do not know. The SAG WWW site would give that info.

There have in the past been open to all, NYC networking parties in bars that we have attended. SAG members were often willing to give advice to newcomers in the biz [especially if they were bought a drink or comped by the house].
