Im in the process of chosing the great photo to be retouched. CAN SOMEONE BLESS ME WITH FEEDBACK. or should i consider taking these over, by the way i usually wear my hair in braids......THANKS A MILLION FOR ALL COMMENTS GOOD OR BAD.
I already said I like your photos under another post. I never even noticed your makeup- honestly. You are being too self-critical, lovely lady.....My only negative comment was do not use the ones in the hoodie.

Do you really think im being self critical. Wow... i really just wanted to know which photo you thought would be best like all the other new actors request.. but thanks a millon for the advice and the compliments... by the way i love every square inch of my body moreso my face.... my only worry was as an actor, a new actor, was it a bad move to not hire a makeup artist and what specific picture would be best.

It looks like a good session overall. I skipped a number with the smiles because they always look a bit forced to me, but some might like those too.
My numbering is based on what showed at top left in the navigation bar - Miss Stone seems to be referring to a different number.
I think 5, 9, and 28 are all good, 24, 37 for more particular roles.
Not wild about the corn row shots, but they might be good for specific roles. Ditto for the hoodies, but 76 might be good for one of those inevitable "gangsta" breakdowns.
Oh, and being a guy, I may miss make-up nuances, but I didn't really see a problem there.
I wouldn't be able to tell you what pics would be good for headshots, but you are very photogenic. I liked most of them. Even the braids and hoodie pics could be used for specific breakdowns.

I thank you all for your input... 24 is one of my favorites so i will think long and hard about that photo....and by the way the session was awesome.... dennis is the most warm professional, considerate person ive ever met. He has a great sense of his work which allows you to relax during the shot. although i wasnt totally ok with the make up part of it i believe the session was worth every dime... again thank you.....this will help me a million... A SPECIAL THANKS TO MISS STONE
ALL OTHER OPINIONS WILL GREATLY BE APPRECIATED.

Choosing your headshots by committee, in my opinion, is a fool's errand. You're a big girl. You know what a good shot is, and what isn't. The only other person who should be involved in your decision is your agent, if you have one. For a slightly different perspective, turn your contact sheets over and put them on a light table. Then go over them with a loop and choose the ones you like.
Bottom line, the sooner you start making your own decisions and sticking to them, the sooner you'll develop a confidence that you'll start to take into audition rooms with you. People like that. Will you make mistakes? Sure. But a bad decision is better than none, or one made by others.

thanks for the advice but there is no where in my post that reads committee what im asking for is opinions only about the photo and the makeup uhhhhh!..i believe many NEW ACTORS ask for OPINIONS of the next person. there are many other reasons for requesting someones opinion about a photo but i am not going to use my time to figure out your comments . AGENT, CONTACT SHEET, LITE LITE TABLE.... Lack of confidence.. Some of these posters are interesting people.... thanks for the advice stevetom. By the way I am a new Actor...

I am a firm believer in the "Law Of Attraction" .. maybe someone has read the book "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne. Its a rather interesting book that dynamically underlines how a person attracts things, people, and situations in you life, through thought. I chose not to attract ass holes as a matter of fact those thoughts are reserved for a more private time... When i am sitting on the toilet and releasing all the toxic waste from my boby..... thump there it goes its out. do i think of what i put in the toilet all day.. Nope not at all... so i say what i feel they should know and then i use the power of my mind to attract a diffrent type of energy. So thanks miss stone but that post had about five min of my time..... ANY OTHER OPINIONS
"The perdominant thought or the mental attitude is the magnet, and the law is that like attracts like, consequently, the mental attitude will invariably attract such conditions as correspond to it's nature." Charles Haanel.....

Let me say I love your photos. I think you have some really nice ones to choose from. As for the makeup, not knowing how you look "everyday" just judging by the photo's it looks natural and not overdone. It looks like the actress in the picture is the one who will walk through the door when I call her in for an audition. AND THAT'S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING!!!!
You are going to have many different headshots in you hopefully long career. It's a big deal, it's a huge investment, with everything trust your gut.
thank you for your input roz i will surely keep it in mind....and nick girl thank you as well i really like 16 as well i actually love everything about that photo.... There is so many that i like, than there are many that i love..and chosing from over 800 photos becomes overwhelming because everything sort of begins to look the same but im making great process with all your help. thanks for your opinions........

I agree with everyone, it looks like you have a good session. You have some really nice ones to choose from. You look natural and you can't really tell you didn't hire a makeup artist. so, don't worry. Good luck

I think you have some good shots here. One thing I will say is that it's kind of impossible to choose shots for someone you don't know in person. The only way I can judge if these are representative of you is if I know who you are in real life. That being said, you have some really great shots here. I especially like 80.
