Does anyone know of any good acting classes in preferably nj and possibly ny.

I don't know if you're new at this, but for beginners, I found that HB studios was a great place to start. The school offers a wide range of classes at an affordable price. I start there years ago and liked it because I was able to explore a few classes without breaking the bank. Once you're involved in an acting circle, talk to fellow actors about other schools that best suit your acting career.

What kind of acting classes are you looking for? Scene Study? On-Camera? Shakespeare? You'll get a lot more suggestions if you're specific.

Peter Miner has always had a superb on-camera techique class.

He may still be affiliated with Weist-Barron, but I'm not sure. Give them a call.

Because the OP is under 18, I doubt he'd be able to take Peter's class. However, W-B does have a teens division, I believe, so there may be a different class that he could get into.
