Hey guys. Its been a while since I've been on the boards because I've been busy filming my second feature film and preping to release my first one SURRENDER, which is finally completed.
Its a film I wrote, produced and directed, self financed along with a whole bunch of "Apocolaypse Now" stuff I've experienced filming this movie (too long to mention, look it up on IMDB to read all the details-I can write a book with this).
Below are some scenes to view the story or female gangs in america:
Stay up kid !! Keep us posted as to when the screening is taking place. I wanna show some support kid !! Some of these people in this film are some of the people that was in BIG WES? The black guy and spanish chick face looks familiar.

I've been getting numerous offers from Anti-Gang Organizations and youth centers wanting to buy this film but I'm still up in the air about distributing it myself. The audience is defiently late teens and urban (black, latino, white). A few have seen it and wanted to buy it. I can make money on my own with this.
I want to introduce you to Harry Lennex who made a movie about hoes. Sorry. He sold it.
Also you can do screenings, and talk backs about anti gang stuff in schools and a workshop and charge what you want for that. You should look for a group that does anti gang work and see how they work. Perhaps there are opportunities there.
There's still the film festival route to attract attention as a director and a distributor. There are film festival markets that you should go to. The IFP. The one in BERLIN.
You are blessed to have so many options and opportunies. The film is really really moving. Thanks for letting me see it.
thnx. I was rejected by the Tribeca Film Festival (but I sent out the rough copy which I heard you should never do as a fillmaker) though if it was in its first two years I would've got in but SPEED RACER and other films with BIG ACTORS that they still call "independent" beat me to it. My film is a true example of independent gurilla filmmaking and I keep getting pushed aside for big films. Its ok, there are thousands of other festivals.
When you say he sold it, he sold it to a distributor?
Roz was just here telling me all about your film. Can't wait to see it. I agree that you should reach out to community organizers (I love community organizers, don't you??) who are fighting gang violence. Sounds like your movie can help people. Sending you all good thoughts.
Damian, I've haven't been on here in so long but I'm glad that I logged in today. I will check back everyday to find out when your screening will be held. If you need someone to put fliers up in Brooklyn just let me know. I only know you from this website but I think what you're doing is awesome!
