As the title says, please come and share your experiences applying to grad MFA programs!

Ohhh boy. This is a tough question to answer because the process can be long and arduous.

I can be a great time and a frustrating time. The applying part is nothing but paper work. Of course to get in, you must audition and this is the most important.

Some try and audition for graduate school by preparing a monologue by themselves. I actually went to my URTA auditions with a girl who prepared her own audition pieces. She did not want the help of a coach.

I, on the other hand, used my acting teachers as coaches. And I worked hard.

The results: I got into grad school and had my pick between 11 schools. The girl got absolutely no interest from grad school programs.

I could write a book about this, about my experience.
