Now that SAG has changed their rules and allows SAG Eligible actors to work there second union job without having actually paid or joined SAG officially (they have 30 days) is there still a stigma on being SAG Eligible with TV casting directors. Are they now more open to seeing SAG eligible actors in TV?

I thought this "rule" has been around forever-the whole taft-hartley act. At any rate, why would there be a "stigma" to being SAG-E? It's certainly better than being non-union because then CD wouldn't have to T-H you. You would just have to go pay if you got the job. I suppose some CDs would worry that you wouldn't be able to pay, but I doubt it.

Before if you were SAG-e you would have to pay and join SAG *BEFORE* you worked your second job. That is not the case anymore. You can actually work you second job without having paid. You just have to promise to pay or get set up on a payment plan within 30 days of working your second job. In the past you could not work your second job until you paid in *FULL* Pretty cool huh!
