So I've been called in to meet a second agent in the commercial department I'm freelancing with.

Is business casual wardrobe still the way to go for this meeting, or would it be appropriate to wear something more stylish and still tasteful ("upscale/hip casual") with personality?

Okay, so ultimately, I'm really asking whether it's appropriate to wear polished (neat) skinny jeans with black knee-length wedge boots and a nice top, without a jacket or blazer...

You should dress how you're most likely to get cast AND in something that showcases your personality. I learned that lesson a hard way when I met with an agent in a suit because I thought I should be business-like. Well, I"m more the "funky contemporary urban" type and I never saw that agent again.

That's the challenge. I book 95% business/business casual. And, like most in this business, I try to avoid anything related to a "real" 9-5 job.

Thanks, Darbi. I'm going with the aforementioned outfit. And fluffy orange coat.
