So I received an email last week congratulating me on creating my ET profile, and to please sign in to pay for access to thousands of casting calls.

I was like, "huh?"

Weird was that the email came to my old email address that I only use to check in once a week, and use to register for sites when you have to register and i dont want to give my actual contact info.

It was the email that was originally registered to my website, but is not there anymore.

So I followed the link, and sure enough, there was my headshot. Weird. And some stats were listed.

It had me living in BOstson (I've only been there once, and was only there for two days, many years ago),

An age was listed but it was a few years off,

and had me listed as native american (unless native americans came from small town england or jewish latvia, somehow i doubt it).

so i clicked on the link that said resume, and wtf, my resume was there! at least in some form.

all of my theatre experience had been left off, but my on camera stuff was there, my skills where there, my training was there but was all mixed up...

and the dead give-away?

on my website, i include links to photo pages or homepages for specific projects, when i have one or both. so if a credit is-
play role theatre

and i have both links to the theatre and to photos, i'll have it written as-
play role theatre 1,2

and 1 and 2 will be the links.

well, the numbers were definitely there in the profile in correspondence to where they are on my website resume.

so of course i called and demanded my stolen resume and complete profile be removed while i was on the phone. i did not put it there, it was stolen and created without my permission and that i did not want to be associated with one of the biggest internet scams out there.

yesterday, i did a search to see if i could find myself on their website.

guys, just to warn you, they have created a LOT of profiles using stolen information. when i did the search, i saw hundreds of profiles with what is obviously made up information

you can't search for your name, but i would definitely suggest putting in your type (and give a large age range, my listed age was 6 years off from my real age, and who knows what city or ethnicity you'll be listed under, both of mine were wrong)...

good luck!

Yikes! Sorry you had to deal with this. Thank you for the heads-up. Keep spreading the word to other sites like PARF and Showfax.

Did you report this to BBB https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/GetStarted.aspx and the Federal Trade Commission http://www.ftc.gov ?

This would also be good for an entertainment attorey to get his/her hands on.

Something must be done to try and stop their illegal practices.

Even if what they try to get away with is proven not to be illegal (grunble, grunble), it is totally unprofessional. It makes me crazy with what some companies get away with.

I added this link to cross-reference for other readers to learn all they can and help them know what to watch out for.

The same thing happened to me only, I made an account on that, but then I deleted it.
Mind you, when I had one everytime I search my name in google it was there.
So after I deleted it, I checked on google and it didnt come up anymore.
And I checked the link to my profile and its gone and everything.

So now, a year later, I was bored, googled my name and there it is again.
