Never experienced an earthquake- very curious but didn't want to go through the "Big One". Ten to one says when I move back out there, get going, get successful THEN get my Malibu mansion- that'll be when it comes!!!

I was in one of those tall buildings built to sway, which it did, enough that some tall plants were doing the hula.
After eleven years in L.A., this kind of thing is on a par with a summer shower for me, but apparently some were pretty freaked. One woman did point out to me that I HADN'T been here for the last big one, so it wasn't reminding me of the same things it was her.
Got home and a few cardstock invites had fallen, nothing solid though.
Meanwhile, an Internet astrologer was taping her show, just got to the point where she says, "The Universe has your back, stay calm" - and then FREAKS OUT when the earthquake hits.
What a bad girl you are! I don't ever think about regular crime! (Although I was robbed in NYC, had a couple of cars stolen) I don't blame the city. It's just one of those isolated incidents. There are so many ways to die. We might as well get on with living huh? Try to do/leave what we were meant to do/leave before the big one hits.

Thanks for the laugh!
I am glad you thought it funny because that is what I wanted! My own kind of humor there which people do not always get.

I am originally from northern California, so I didn't think much of the quake.
It woke me up (yes, I was still sleeping that late). I thought about getting up for a couple seconds, but it didn't get worse, and then it stopped, so I went back to sleep.
It was NOTHING.

Miss stone, that humor is right up my alley. Funny.
I guess earthquakes are just one of the things New Yorkers have to get used to when they move to LA. I have a couple of friends who are recent transplants and they were all good and freaked out by their first quake.

That is why I am pretty close to moving to NYC next year. I just think they will get me more out there. I am a little too dark for LA I think. Did you ever see the episode of Sex in the City when Miranda was visiting LA? That is how I feel sometimes!! But then I meet people from NYC and they get me.
