Hello! I have two teachers that I have been promoting to my students - I have worked with both of them so I can recommend them personally and think they are fabulous! Carolann M. The ladies above are excellent voice teachers and focus on vocal technique in the musical theater genre, which includes both belt and legit styles of singing. But they are also professional actors and are intimately familiar with the audition process, which makes them great vocal coaches as well. It is a good idea to meet with both of them to see which might be a good fit for your daughter. And please feel free to tell them I sent you- they are wonderful people and will love the referral!

Hi there! I love my vocal coach, Stephen Purdy. www.mahattanvocalcoach.comHe tailors each lesson to fit whatever I want/need to work on at that point, whether it be breathing and support, belting, or a specific pop or Broadyway song for an audition. He always makes me feel comfortable (I have a big problem with nerves when I'm singing), and has really helped me progress. His prices are really good, too, and he has time slots available pretty much any day of the week, from what I've seen. Good luck!
