Has anyone had experience making a CD in NYC? My daughter has written a lot of songs and used garage band (we bought her logic studio for her birthday/graduation, but she'll need to take a few classes in order to be able to fully utilize it) for her tracks. We'd like to get her into a professional studio and work with a good vocal coach. Some of her friends have used Cari Cole and another used Rona Leslie. Anyone else to consider and what are the going rates?

We're also trying to build a home studio (small). We subscribe to Sweetwater's catalog, and have done some research; but it all seems so overwhelming!
