Um...I'm guessing you mean the top five movies you WATCHED in the last 5 months...since some of these are a bit older...
well, if that's the case...and this is going off the top of my head since its tough to remeber all that I watched since (I think) September.
1) The Sugarland Express - early and underrated Speilburg film. A must see that somehow got brushed under the pop culture carpet.
2) The Wrestler - anyone who has devoted their life to any art should see this. A great character study.
3) Deathstalker 2 - A hilarious spoof of Conan type movies.
4) Land of the Blind - Great satire with Ralph Finnes and Donald Sutherland in a strange future. A hilarious and haunting study of how the solution to the problem is often no better than the problem itself.
5) Pineapple Express - Really darn funny and suprisingly violent. A keeper as they say.
Honorable mention goes to Wall-E. I saw it just over 6 months ago, but it was incredible in every way.
Doubt - Saw this in the theater. AMAZING!!! Hedda Gabler - The one with Ingrid Bergman and Michael Redgrave. It's on YouTube in 7 parts ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKgcjssJgvY Boogie Nights - Great period piece all around, but Julianne Moore's performance is worth the rental all by itself. Best In Show - Parker Posey rules. Dog Day Afternoon - Pacino at his best.

And I am guessing you meant "Spielberg" and "remember" and "Fiennes". Oh, and "surprisingly". Sorry, couldn't resist.

LOL!!! Heads up- you can just type stuff in the search bar on your home page and it will come up with the right spelling in the link to another page like online dictionary etc. You don't have to actually enter any site- just the search to the link is enough.

Threads; A British Pseudo-Documentary about what hapens after a nuclear attack. About as harsh and horrific a film as I have ever seen. Utterly bleak and hopeless...in a way you never really see. A must see for anyone who thinks they can't be shocked anymore. And get this...the director went on to make the Steve Martin vehicle LA Story. Now THATS a weird resume!
Chapter 27: The movie Jared Leto got fat to play Mark David Chapman for. This didn't go over too well when it was new...but I honestly thought it was great!
George Washington: David Gordon Green's first movie about some poor southern folk and a kid who can't get water on his head. Minimalist genius.
Cowards Bend The Knee: Guy Maddin is one of the weirdest directors out there...and this is no exception. I don't even know how to descibe this one, your on your own folks!
Also re-watched some of my favorite bogus horror movies: Leprachaun, Troll, The Toxic Avenger, Class of Nuke 'Em High and Maniac Cop!!
1) There Will Be Blood 2) Citizen Kane 3) American Beauty 4) 2001: A Space Odyssey 5) Apocalypse Now
I've seen a lot of the newer releases (District 9, Taking of Pelham 123, Up, Terminator: Salvation, Transformers 2, Time Traveler's Wife, The Hurt Locker) but none of them stack up to the classics that I've also watched recently.

Well, since this is resurrected, I'll pitch in some.
Again, 6 months is a LONG time...I useually watch 2 movies a day if not more...but here's a shot...
1) District 9: completly blown away. Best movie I have seen in at least 5 years. Fantastic in every sense of the word. Amazing story, great acting, great special effects and relentless violence and satire. One for the ages.
2) Crank 2: Visual insanity, total disregard for taste, and a slap in the face to anyone who doesn't like such things. Very fun chaos!!! Also check out the slightly less insane Gamer from the same directors.
3) Moon: Chilling haunted tale of a guy alone on the moon, who discovers all is not what it seems. Fantasic performance by Sam Rockwell, one of those Oscar worthy ones.
4) Drag Me To Hell: Sam Raimi's awesome return to form. Evil Dead 4 without being Evil Dead 4. A total blast.
5) Halloween 2; Everyone in the world hates this but me. But you know what, I thought it was awesome. probably the closest I have seen a film come to actually filming a nigtmare outside of say, a David Lynch movie. Way more Avant-Guarde than anyone expected...in 10 years it'll be considered ahead of its time.
honerable mention: Derek Jarmen's Jubilee, Step Brothers, Miss March, Sunset Blvd (3rd or 4th time watching), The Changeling (Eastwood's best since Unforgiven) and Inglorious Basterds (actually probably should have put that one in the top 5).
