Wow....I like way too many to narrow it down to just five. I almost didn't answer this cause it wracks my brain too much, I follow soooo many directors...but figured I would since I haven't made a list like this for myself in over a decade...

The only way I can deal with it is by dividing it into a few catagories:

Favorite Big Directors:

1) John Waters
2) David Lynch
3) The Coen Brothers
4) Peter Jackson
5) Steven Speilberg

Favorite B-Movie Directors

1) Lloyd Kaufman
2) Charles Band
3) Frank Henenlotter
4) John Lachago
5) William Lustig

Favorite Foreign Directors

1) Alejandro Jodoworski
2) Peter Greenaway
3) Lars Von Trier
4) Ryuhei Kitamura
5) Nacho Cerda

Favorite Micro/Indie Directors

1) James Fotopoulos
2) Andy Copp
3) Tim Ritter
4) Scooter McRrae
5) Michael T. Schneider

Honorable mention: David Croenburg

I'm sure I'm leaving some off...but I seek out every film by any director I have listed.

Hm, I'll have to write down some of those names. Always looking for new filmmakers to get into.
