These are obviously headshots taken outside, with natural lighting.

Along with my concerns with shooting outdoors, the clear problem here is styling, primarily hair issues which could have been easily improved on location.

With proper lighting and styling, you could be truly transformed.

I agree with Robert's comments; and, I would add that the posing in the second and third shots are a bit awkward.

You are great looking, and in the right hands, should get superb shots.

Good luck.

Best,

Ron

The white clothing is also a little blown out.

There's no denying you are gorgeous though. I think the picture would still get you called in, just not as much as a better picture would.

You might want to try cropping the shot a little tighter to get rid of the blown-out part of the clothing.

And definitely have the hair retouched.

By "the picture" I mean picture 1.

Picture 2 and 3 are a little awkward, as Mr. Brown stated.

like dennis said, the shirt is blown out. You are black ? so wear darker clothes, the photo can only be exposed correctly for about 5 stops of dynamic range. that 5 stops should be your face. you have to keep the clothes and background within the 5 stops of your face.

I have light skin, so I avoid very dark stuff.

You have a good photographer, he exposed for your face and that is good technique. Fire your wardrobe person. She should have known better.

Here's the same answer, IN ENGLISH.

White is a highly reflective color. That's why most professionals warn against using it altogether, especially outdoors.

If you're not adept at controlling light, refrain from wearing white in your headshots altogether.

"Firing your wardrobe person" is not the answer.
